Kalendarz adwentowy / Advent Calendar

Hello :)

This year I decided not to put off preparing the Advent calendar until the last minute. Do you remember how you glued matchboxes to make chests of drawers and treasure boxes? My idea for this year's calendar was born from childhood memories with such boxes. I wanted the fronts of the drawers to match the calendar on the last page of the Christmas Tales scrapbooking paper set, so I prepared it on a custom-made cardboard base from SnipArt. The calendar measures approx. 18x18x18cm and each drawer measures 6x6x6cm. I covered the entire calendar with paper and decorated it with cut-out illustrations from the Christmas Tales paper collection from Craft Passion. At the top I also placed fabric poinsettias cut with our die, made by Małgosia Janocha. The calendar turned out happy, just like waiting for Christmas :)

Kalendarz adwentowy / Advent calendar - DT Craft Passion

Chcąc umilić mojemu synowi to oczekiwanie postanowiłam wykonać kalendarz adwentowy.

Wewnątrz umieściłam różne drobne upominki i zdrowe przekąski

Hello :)

Children are sometimes impatient and looking forward to their exciting event,

often asking their parents for those events. It is no different when you wait for the Santa visit :)

Wanting to make my son more pleasant, I decided to make an advent calendar.

I made the calendar on a cardboard base,

I painted the edges white, just like cardboard numbers and stars.

I covered it with papers from the Glamor Dreams & Silver collection, I chose blue with silver stars and a navy blue sheet with mandalas and garlands, and its other side - blue with "lights".

I knew that after my son discovered all the drawers, the calendar would serve him as a cabinet for small items, I didn't want to make a calendar in typical holiday colors and decorations. Such colors will work in a boy's room all year round.

A tak wyglądał kalendarz w trakcie tworzenia:

And this is how the calendar looked when it was created:

Dwa długie wieczory i kalendarz gotowy :)

Two long evenings and the calendar is ready :)
